8.Lille/Kortrijk region: A Flemish Connection (B-Fr )

 

The bridge underneath connects a unique pair of villages:  Komen, a Walloon enclave in Flanders, and the French market town of Commines. Here three regions peacefully join hands, profiting from the differences in tax regulations as well as from the commodities they share.
