May 9th - Europeans against Right Wing Nationalisms

In September 2008, Greens from all over Germany participated in a 15.000 people protest against an anti-islamisation conference organised by Pro Köln, a local nationalist party. They prevented like-minded groups from abroad to get to the conference venue by blocking the rails, so train passengers  couldn’t alight at the station.

A second attempt at such a conference has been announced for 9 May - ‘Europe Day and the very day many celebrated the victory over nationalisms until now‘  - our German Green friends have let us know.

If they, and anti-racist movements  cam help it, this attempt will equally fail. To be sure of that, they hereby invite Greens from other European countries to come and help out. The local Green office is happy to accommodate all.
