Marianne Saenen

Having entered politics through local associations, environment is my priority. My longtime experience as a home care nurse has opened my  eyes for social inequalities. I’m also active in various working groups addressing social and economic challenges. A degree in Economic and Social Policy at the Université Catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve, completed in 2007, has confirmed my conviction that Ecolo provides the correct answers to the challenges of our world in crisis.

I’m a true internationalist and have been a member of the Heerlen/EGP Supporters’ team from 2004. But I have been elected into the regional Parliament last year, so I don’t have enough time to be a fully operational team member.

My main mission therefore will be, to find someone else in my party who can take over.
