Heerlen 8, 29-31 Jan. Brussels: From European Surprise to Breakthrough?!

We are happy to invite you to the 8th annual conference of European grassroots Greens. At the core is a possible Breakthrough of political ecology as a leading force, if Greens share their most successful strategies. The answer will be given by Eric Jadot, member of the federal parliament for Écolo (B), Henk Nijhof and Wouter van Besien - chairs of GroenLinks (Nl) and Groen! (Be) and Michel Mosser, former secretary general Les Jeunes Verts and -consultant Europe Écologie.
Other issues addressed:
- To overcome the deception of Copenhagen we’ll explore new avenues for a globally just climate policy
- How Europe’s Green parties implement the Green New Deal, their answer to credit and climate crisis, both Europe wide and on the local level of Breda (Netherlands); and how the Green European Foundation, the European Greens’ research unit, contributes to a better exchange of best practices
- The future of the European Green Party and the Action Plan 2010 pf the EGP Supporters’ Network, successor of the Green grassroots’ initiative Heerlen Group (2002), which hopes, together with you and other Greens from all over Europe, to contribute to in what the Greens/EFA’s in the European Parliament describe as a priority for the next five years:
‘Deepen democracy by decentralisation and direct participation of people in decision-making that concerns them’.
