About Us
The EGP Supporters’ Network is the grassroots’ initiative of the European Green Party (EGP). Launched and run by grassroots’ Greens since 2002, it offers all who support those parties’ European project a participation perspective.
The Network
- contributes to a green EU of citizens who participate in European politics on a daily basis, and are a soundboard and democratic basis for the members of the European Parliament.
- stimulates cross border action wherever appropriate – because present day challenges don’t stop at borders.
- promotes and facilitates an European wide exchange of practices and views.
By connecting individuals, local branches, party networks and theme groups - rather than setting up new structures – it gives a cross border and European dimension to what already exists. It co-operates closely with the EGP, the Greens-EFA in the European Parliament and other Green structures in making Europe more democratic and Green action more effective.
