Slowdown on the road to Vienna

ViennaToday we are sorry to announce we’ve accumulated too many delays in getting the work done for our Spring Conference in Vienna, originally scheduled for April 20th – 22nd.

Sounds amateurish? Bear in mind we don’t have any full-time staff so when a very active member of the team falls ill for several weeks, running harder to get the work done isn’t always possible.

Besides that, we’ve grown more ambitious with time and we want to leave the corridor that runs north and south from Brussels, where our conferences have always been held (Brussels, Amsterdam, Paris…). And, we  have been successful in making contacts further east. But as a specialist warned “the natural product of communication is misunderstanding” and with new people from new places  in Europe, we’ve collectively experienced a bit of that misunderstanding lately. So, although we all agree on the basics and although the mood in the team is on the upswing, we’re now back to the drawing boards to make sure that a clear thread runs through the program, that no one’s input is left out and that all our contacts  become as enthusiastic as we are about this conference.

In the next few weeks GreenYourope and the Vienna Greens will be smoothing out the details and announcing the date of the conference. And we have serious reasons to believe it will be the best conference ever held by our network.

For the coordination team,
Michael Leibman
