European Citizens’ Initiative

Today is the launch of the new Greens/EFA European Citizens’ Initiative website. The website tells you all about what the ECI is, how it works, and why the Greens think it is such an important tool for Europeans.

The most important part of the website is where you, as a European Citizen, have a platform to gain support for you own Initiative! There are a few ideas online already, so go and take a look. And of course, if you have your own idea, don’t hesitate to post it there. You also have the opportunity to post comments to the ideas.

To help this launch, the Greens in the European Parliament have organized a conference on the ECI. There are panel debates with MEPs, and institutes which are involved in ECIs. Check the complete programme on the Greens/EFA website. If you want to follow the conference, there is a possibility to watch it via live streaming.
