At their first meeting, delegates from eight green parties were present, from Belgium, Germany, England, Finland, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, and Austria.

The coordination team, consisting of Tony Cooreman (Groen! – president), Erika Rohweder (Die Grünen Alten, Deutschland – deputy) and John Norris (Green party of England and Wales – deputy), facilitates the internet communication of the … sencorresponding national groups.

The results of the four working groups formed during the first meeting, will be presented: Strenghthening the European Green Party (coord. Ludo Dierickx), European Policy of old-age poverty (coord. Birgit Meinhard-Schiebel, Austria), Age discrimination in employment and in general (coord. Kaarina Kytömaa, Finland) and Economy without growth (coord. Dr. W. Knabe, Germany). New ideas may come up.

They are the first step in determining changes in the European societies and drawing conclusions for our own political activities. We furthermore want to get more European seniors aboard. By exchanging experiences and ideas from different regions and countries, we intend to build bridges between senior groups and help to develop a common policy for European Parties.
